Delete your account

If you can't sign in

This route is a request, not an anonymous switch. Email support@promotionprep.com with the subject "Account deletion request" and the address on the account. If you no longer have access to that address, write from an address you can receive mail at and explain the situation. We confirm which account a request refers to, and may ask one or two questions to avoid deleting the wrong person's data, before anything is deleted; emailed requests are actioned as soon as we can confirm the account.

What is deleted

• Your account itself: email address, sign-in method and profile.
• Study progress: quiz and exam answers, scores, streaks, study plan and test date.
• Your notes, highlights and saved flashcards.
• Situation-judgment attempts and any feedback you submitted.
• Your daily Explain usage counter.

What may be kept

• A minimal purchase record: the store, the transaction identifier, the amount and the date. It is held in pseudonymous form rather than as your profile, it grants no access, and it is kept only as long as tax, refund and fraud-prevention rules require.
• Entitlement and purchase events in the app's audit log. The event records keep the transaction and event identifiers; the link that tied the event to your account is removed, so the event is not erased.
• Deleted records - your sign-in account and your study data alike - are held in the platform's recently-deleted area for about 30 days before permanent removal. During that window only the app owner can restore them, never another user or the public.

Deleting your account ends your access. A purchase cannot be restored to a deleted account; if you buy again later you will need to sign up again.

Timing

When you delete from the app or from this page, your data stops being visible in the app at once, and is not shown again. Your study data and your sign-in account are both held in the platform's recently-deleted area for about 30 days before permanent removal; during that window only the app owner can restore them. Emailed requests are actioned as soon as we can confirm the account they refer to. Deleting from the app or from this page also clears what this device stored for you: your saved theme, voice and reading-speed preferences, and any locally stored exam progress. An emailed request cannot reach your device, so clear the app's data or reinstall if you used that route.
